Dr. Sakirman is a lecturer at the Faculty of Sharia and the Graduate Program of UIN Jurai Siwo Lampung. He currently serves as Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Sharia Studies at the Graduate Program of UIN Jurai Siwo Lampung and as Editor-in-Chief of Istinbath: Jurnal Hukum, a Scopus-indexed journal.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Law from UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in 2009 and his Master’s degree in Islamic Studies from IAIN Walisongo Semarang in 2012. He later completed his Ph.D. in Islamic Studies at UIN Walisongo Semarang in 2020 through the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ prestigious 5000 Doctoral Scholarship Program.

Dr. Sakirman is actively engaged in the Tri Dharma of higher education. In teaching, he delivers courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. In research, his academic interests focus on Islamic law and Islamic astronomy (ilmu falak), particularly the legal, astronomical, and methodological dimensions of lunar observation and Islamic calendar systems. His research has been published in various reputable national and international journals.

In community engagement, he frequently serves as a speaker, trainer, and resource person in academic and public forums, including national seminars and international conferences. Through these activities, he continues to contribute to the advancement of Islamic legal studies and to public understanding of Islamic astronomy.
