Dr. Sakirman, is a lecturer at the Faculty of Sharia and the Graduate Program of UIN Jurai Siwo Lampung. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Law from UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta (2005–2009), followed by a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies at IAIN Walisongo Semarang (2010–2012). He later completed his Ph.D. in Islamic Studies at UIN Walisongo through the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ prestigious 5000 Doctoral Scholarship Program (2017–2020).
He is actively involved in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. In teaching, he delivers courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. In research, his academic interests focus on Islamic Law and Islamic astronomy (Ilmu Falak), with particular attention to the legal, astronomical, and methodological aspects of lunar observation and Islamic calendar systems. His research has been published in various reputable national and international journals.
In community engagement, he contributes as a speaker, trainer, and resource person in many academic and public forums, ranging from national seminars to international conferences. Through these activities, he continues to promote scholarly development and public understanding of Islamic Law and Islamic astronomy.
